Job Description1 Maintain Solutions and Existing Environment Guiding and overseeing the delivery of infrastructure services in accordance with agreed service level targets, including: • Accountability for infrastructure service availability and support responsiveness. • Managing the monitoring, maintenance, upgrade and support of the Bank’s IT infrastructure environment. • Overseeing reports and documentation related to the IT infrastructure environment operations. • Developing and implementing infrastructure maintenance schedules for the Bank infrastructure environment. • Leading the development and implementation of infrastructure operational policies and procedures. • Acting as an escalation point for incidents and events. Owning the relationship with designated ICT vendors and service providers. Analysing existing operations and identifying and implementing improvements to support growth of the Banks’ IT infrastructure environment( Core Wintel and Network ) 2 Solution Identification and Build : Contribute to the development of infrastructure strategies, roadmaps and plans. Assess the potential of emerging technologies and innovation ideas and determine suitability for Bank. In the capacity of Senior Technical Lead ( Where required) • Define functional and technical requirements. • Formulate solutions and detailed designs. • Build and test new and upgraded solutions. • o Document solutions and designs. Managing Windows Infrastructure along with support staff and help in expanding the new rollouts on Wintel / Virtual Infrastructure , Mail and Messaging , Proxy , Internet ,File and Print environment, Blackberry , Backup Infrastructure, Desktop Virtualization etc 3 Managing the Network Domain Infrastructure include design/implementation of new NW technologies , Support of the NW MPLS infrastructure including Branch NW, DC and DR NW ( LAN and WAN ) , IDBRT and NPCI Links, Support of NW devices ( Firewalls, Switches, Routers , Load Balancers) etc. 2 Managing the current Wintel Infrastructure & supporting Infrastructure application 3 Managing the Capacity planning, Disaster recovery, Ensuring compliance for the Wintel and NW Infrastructure . 3 Vendor Management and ensuring monthly reviews with the Vendor. Working with the vendor to ensure that all end users issues are resolved to satisfaction. 4 Working with the projects team and ensuring all help and support on the IT Infra is provided. 5 Incident Management/ Problem Management / Change Management process adherence - Work with the vendors and issues are resolved within SLA’s. Do comparative study and analyse trending data and identify potential areas/ issues by proactively working with the Problem management team Work with Vendors and raise relevant Change Management related to end users. 6 Security policy adherence and compliance. 7 Documentation: Maintain an updated list of documents related to process and SOP’s for the end user. Periodic updation of the documents 8 Monitor and Manage Routine Operations Management - Operations: Work with other support groups and vendors to provide seamless support to customers. Monitor, analyze and address reliability and performance issues. Analyze problems, develop creative solutions and assess risks/benefits. Develop strategies for resolving them and preventing future occurrences. Work with 2nd level support group to assist with application design/development/upgrade testing and implementation. Assess and address compliance with applicable IP Policies, Standards and Technical controls.
Skills RequiredWintel: Sound Knowledge and L2 level understanding of core Microsoft technologies (Windows, AD, Printing), Desktop / Server virtualisation technologies( VMware , Citrix ), storage solutions, MS Exchange, web technologies is highly desirable Networks: Well versed with NW technologies in the areas of technology disciplines in the areas of LAN, WAN, Wireless, Network Optimization, Qos, Bandwidth Management, Vo/IP, Video and Routing and have a good understanding of MPLS networks . Essential: A minimum of 12+ years experience with information technology infrastructure, shared services and data center management including data and voice communications, IT Service Management (ITSM), server and desktop operating systems, intranet and internet architecture and security, telecommunication, desktop and application virtualization technologies and current hardware/software architecture.
